Requirements Overview

The Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering & Land Surveying (OSBEELS) requires 30 PDH per biennial registration period. No topic is mandated; activities must be pertinent to your license or further your professional education, with credit determination the registrant's responsibility subject to Board review.

Two limits shape how you earn credit: self-study is capped at 6 PDH per period, and active participation in a professional society is capped at 8 PDH. Web-based courses, seminars, workshops, conventions, teaching a one-time course, and college courses all qualify. A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next period.

OSBEELS keeps no approved-provider list. Documentation must be retained for 5 years and produced on audit. NCEES CPC tracking can be used, but the transcript must be downloaded as a PDF and uploaded into the MyOSBEELS renewal, as Oregon cannot accept transcripts directly from NCEES.
